Kasi Money (by Kasi Technologies, reg. 2023/589554/07) is a 100% digital, mobile-first banking platform powered by Mastercard and Access Bank South Africa. Built for Africa's entrepreneurs and hustlers, Kasi offers a feature-rich debit card, instant account setup via selfie verification, stokvels management, cross-border payments and seamless tap-to-pay -- all on a smartphone.
The Challenge
Kasi needed to drive ground-level awareness and adoption in township markets and informal sectors where their product has the most impact. Digital marketing alone doesn't reach these communities -- they needed boots on the ground, trained agents and compelling physical marketing materials.
Our Strategy
Fintech adoption in informal markets is about trust, simplicity and peer influence. Our materials used local language, clear visuals and real benefit statements ('No bank account needed. Just your phone.'). Agents were trained not just on the product but on how to build trust quickly in community settings.
What We Did
- ✓Designed and produced high-impact promotional flyers, posters and marketing materials in Kasi's bold brand identity
- ✓Developed a comprehensive agent training programme covering product features, objection handling, sign-up processes and compliance
- ✓Recruited and managed a field marketing agent network across Cape Town and surrounds
- ✓Executed targeted flyer distribution at taxi ranks, shopping centres and community hubs
- ✓Created visual step-by-step explainer materials showing how to sign up, get a card and use Kasi's features
- ✓Organised community activation events to demonstrate the product to prospective users
- ✓Provided weekly performance reports: agent coverage, distribution volumes and sign-up attribution
